Marking the 10th Anniversary.

The hosts of Trek.fm bring your comprehensive coverage of the sprawling Star Trek franchise on a weekly basis. But one corner that often falls through the cracks is the Kelvin Timeline. When it J.J. Abrams rebooted The Original Series in 2009, the bold new take on the decades-old material was not welcomed by everyone. A decade later, it still divides fandom.

In the second part of our Star Trek (2009) 10th-anniversary retrospective, Mike Schindler and Amy Nelson are joined by many familiar voices from Trek.fm to get their take on J.J. Abrams’s take on Gene Roddenberry’s vision. They discuss their anticipation of the film, first impressions, and what they think of the movie now 10 years after its premiere.
